Well, you could say that I haven't had an ideal start in life, however, that hasn't stopped me getting what I want out of life. Like a lot of people, it would be fair to say that I have had some set backs. From my parent's being told that I had terminal cancer when I was three, to losing thousands of dollars. No, I didn't complete high school and yes, I fell pregnant when I was 18 years old. If you are interested in knowing more, here are some of my challenges.
So what is my point? I guess, we all have set backs, and some are harder to overcome than others. I don't like to hear that people are victims of circumstance. The only person that will make your life better is you.
I was pointed in the right direction, by a good friend of mine, Clint Karas. He gave me the book, What I Didn't Learn at School But Wish I Had, written by self made multi millionaire, Jamie McIntyre. Click here, for your FREE ebook and DVD. (Valued at $97)
Not so long ago, my husband and I were working hard, 7 days a week in a small business, with very little profit, no savings and no hope of buying our own home. Now we own two properties, both of us have amazing jobs, quite a few toys, heaps of time to ourselves and our relationship has improved dramatically, largely due to the lack of stress of over working and being underpaid. This all started from reading Jamie's book and watching the DVD. Seriously, if you haven't done it yet, click here.
This is where my Dream Life Journal was developed from. All of a sudden, I could see my goals, and started to read different books that made a big difference in my life, and I needed a way to tie it all together. I was re-reading through my Dream Life Journal, and rebuilding a new mental picture for the life that I wanted, and it was becoming a reality.
More about me
I love being spiritual and I totally love being a Leo! I love hearing stories relating to the spirit realm. I believe that I am fortunate enough to have my own doo loo loo moment. Find out more.
I also love photography, being active, being lazy :p, and generally having fun, no matter what I am doing.
Living in North Queensland, Australia, we have a ton of fun in the outdoors. Our activities include boating, 4WDing, fishing and camping. I am so impressed with where I live, that I am slowly creating a website about all the fun stuff in our area. It's not finished yet, however, if you are curious about where I live, check it out.
Currently, we are planning to sail half way across the world in 2011. So far, we are in the planning phase of our sailing journey.
My husband, Lee and I have been getting fit this year. Being more careful with our eating and drinking, has been a huge factor in our weight loss. Also, we have started to do regular physical exercise. Usually, we go for a walk or bike ride together, and do other sporting activities individually. Lee really enjoys playing cricket and I love playing beach volleyball, even though I am still a real numpty at it.
What are my goals?
Describe my daily goals in two words, and you would have FUN and HAPPINESS. These are my subconsciuos aims, and as a consequence, my days are usually filled with fun and happiness. The trick is to let a lot of things bring you happiness, instead of a single elusive "one day/one thing" type goal.
I have plenty of goals.. from putting the washing away to living with complete financial independance, sharing in adventure and balancing my life in between.
My goals are material goals, career goals, family goals, experience goals, health goals and all in multiple sizes and ease of achievability.
As I achieve these goals, or change my mind about them, I create new ones. Recent examples include acquiring the following:
Material - Entertainment area with awesome BBQ and slate pool table.

Career - Landing a fantastic job with one of the largest ICT companies in the world.
Family - Hmmm.. Both of my teenage boys have got part time jobs.. Although I guess that isn't my goal as such, but knowing they are learning life skills is a great feeling as a parent.
Experience - Boating with the family in Tropical North Queensland.
Read about one of our boating trips to Magnetic Island here.

Health - Lose 10 kilo's of weight. So far I have lost 8 kilos and I feel great. I still would like to lose another 5 kilo's though.
